Interesting news indeed. There are quite a few things promised in that announcement, but the prospect of a new map is very encouraging. Normandy is pretty frustrating... lots of unfinished landscape, major towns missing, a single LW airfield, etc. etc. I sincerely hope they can do a better job this time.

Regardless of where it is, I really do hope that ED choose somewhere suitable for its plane set and assets. Based on past experience, though, I would not be surprised if we get Manchuria or Poland.

I wonder what the lead time on this will be. I mean how long did it take them to get Persian Gulf map done, from first announcement to release. I guess this will be 2 years.

Given the campaign pack below that line talks about following a unit from Normandy to Bodenplatte and the Ardennes, I wonder...? Could ED be trying to trump 1C/777 to a new theatre?

I think the new campaign just uses the Caucasus map as a stand in for the Ardennes, unless they intend to go back and re-do those parts for a new map.
