RAAF - Real Aussie Air Force

Post by Admin (Philstyle) »

Does anyone know if this squdron is still active?
http://www.raafsquad.com/

I know Furball used to post a lot on the Banana forums....The are (or at least used to be, in IL2 days) a big squad.

Would be great to get them active in SoW if we can. Unfortunaltey, I cannot join their forums due to blocked registrations (historical spam issues).

Does anyone have contact with these guys?

My first steam name (2011-12) was RolyRAAF - this raised some eyebrows from these guys. Not knowing ANYTHING about the online squadron concept, I changed it to avoid confusion/offence. Haven't heard or seen them in a few years. Believe they were still into 1946 -

If you want to do an invite & pm it to me I'll paste on their CLOD section .

Phil, there's no comments back on the post in their CLOD section. RAAF forum looks very quiet.
At least we can say we tried.

Just a heads up.
ASOR 234 have been flying CLoD each Tuesday evening (Sydney time) for nearly 6 months. We've recently joined the server and are a mixture of of Oz, Kiwis, Brits and a Yank based based in Oceania.

I read somewhere that RAAF had recently disbanded.

Might be the case... I haven't seen their tags for years.

On their forum dated 16 Aug '16

'Activity in the RAAF (and website & Forum) has slowly dropped off over time - particularly over the last 12 months

Therefore, the Real Aussie Air Force has disbanded and the website & Forum (Message Board) were closed yesterday '
