OD spotted this when Wags was livestreaming the other day.
See the map listed as "Strait of Dover"

I expect it will be a completely new map.
ED's own map tech with speed-tree etc is better now than when Ugra-media built the normandy map.
However, that's pur speculation on my part. For all we know it could be a modern map . . .

I expect if anything it will be a smaller sized map suitable mostly for cross channel dog fighting in the strait (and not bomber operations).

That looks to me like they're interested in a simple Spits vs 109s style dog fight map. Which seems weird as a strategy, but I won't complain if the content is done well.

Wow! Well spotted OD.

This is VERY interesting. Who knows what what they have planned in this case. But we do know they said there were more WW2 maps (plural) on the way (REF), and Dover is surely WW2, rather than modern.

It is hardly a good match to the existing DCS warbirds set. And even the planned FW 190 A-8, P-47D and DH-98 seem a bit out of place here. I do wonder if TFC have something in mind for WW2 Battle-of-Britain in the long term. Something like a WW2-equivalent of the upcoming MAC release?

Regardless... if done well, then any new WW2 content will be greatly appreciated.
